Dr. James Estep is the Equipping Pastor at Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville, GA, responsible for discipleship, education and ministry design. He has been in the ministry since 1985, teaching not only in colleges and seminaries, but in congregations around the country and internationally After attending Cincinnati Bible College, Jim earned three masters degrees from Cincinnati Bible Seminary, a Doctor of Ministry from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He participates in several learned societies and has authored several books on Christian education, as well as published numerous essays and articles. His passion is equipping individuals for service within the local congregation; bridging the gap between the campus and the congregation. He is a Professor-at-Large (Christian Education) for Lincoln Christian University and an Affiliate Professor for Johnson University’s Ph.D. program. Jim has been married to his wife Karen (Ph.D. Michigan State University) for over 25 years. They have three adult children and two grandchildren.
